Surviving Summer in Tucson, Arizona

by Ken Nelson

Welcome to Tucson, a city known for its sunny weather and outdoor activities. As a local Tucson realtor, I can attest to the fact that Tucson's climate is pretty amazing. With over 300 days of sunshine a year, there are plenty of opportunities to get outside and explore.

Winter in Tucson is mild with average temperatures in the mid-60s. While we may get a small dusting of snow once every couple of years, it melts quickly, so you won't have to worry about shoveling snow or bundling up in layers. You can still enjoy the outdoors, and even take a dip in a heated pool or hot tub.

Summer in Tucson is a little different, but still great. The temperatures can get pretty high, with averages around the mid-90s and sometimes into the low 100’s. But there are plenty of ways to stay cool, like swimming, air-conditioning, and lots of ice-cold drinks. Plus, Tucson is at about 2,400 feet, so we are cooler than areas like Phoenix, and our evenings in the summer are amazing. We cool off nicely in the summer evenings and with very low humidity, temps in the 90’s, it is perfect back patio weather.

Tucson also has a monsoon season, which runs from June to September. It brings in some much-needed rain and cools down the temperatures a bit. Plus, the thunderstorms are pretty awesome to watch.

Tucson's climate is perfect for those who love the sun and the outdoors. With mild winters and warm summers, you can enjoy the best of both worlds. And if you're looking for a home in Tucson, be sure to check out our website at [insert website address] to browse available properties.
